Everyone had been talking about Shattered Daybreak. It was the hottest new movie. It was apparently better than Parry Hotter 7. Ariel was never one to believe rumors especially when they were said by people with small IQ's. Which was most of this country. Anyway, she decided to go see it on a Friday night so even for a small town is was crowded. She got a seat behind the bar so she could put her feet up and began to eat her popcorn and m &m combo.
She liked to mix the M&M's and the popcorn. It tasted so delicious. Besides it meant it tasted less buttery which was nice. Her friend at home had liked eating swedish fish at the movies. She couldn't stand seeing their poor fishy faces before she ate them. They looked so sad. She remembered when she was little at one of her dads parties she had taken all of the fish and thrown them out of the window (the party had been at a restaurant on a dock). Her Father had not been too pleased.
Nevertheless she was sitting there with her food waiting for the movie to start, munching away happily on her popcorn and M&M's and sipping her coke. She looked to her right, there was an empty seat. She wondered if anyone she knew would be here... or who would sit there. It didn't matter much. She hoped it was someone with a good sense of humor or this was going to be a longer movie then it was already going to be.

Kimberly Anne Peters slid down the aisle attempting to find a seat. She had heard this was one of the best movies of the year. Of course, if someone said it, it had to have been true, right? At least, someone had to have enjoyed it to say it was the best. Unless, of course, they were just saying it to make others think it was for some strange reason. Oh my god, Kim. So NOT the drama. she told herself. Trying to figure out why someone had said it was a good move was so not worth her time.
However, finding a seat in the crowded theater was def. the drama. If they didn't cut off the stream of people after all of the seats were full, she would have sworn there wasn't a single open spot in the entire room. Finally, she spotted one by a red-head she recognized from school. Kim couldn't think of the name right now, but she hoped that the seat was not saved.
She leaned over in the aisle and smiled at the girl. "Is this seat saved? I can't find one anywhere else. This place is a madhouse."

Just as a large rush of people were coming in she saw a girl from school. A cheerleader she believed, and as asked to sit with her. Of course, she thought, a cheerleader. "Sure," she didn't really have much choice. What kind of person said no when she had nobody else to sit with? She just prayed to goodness this girl would behave. She did not want somebody who had come to see a good movie. That was her nicest way of putting someone who was not very smart. At least in her opinion.
"So why are you at the movies alone?" she asked. It was a fair question. People generally had people with them. Especially at this movie. It was giggle girl fest 2011. Ugh. Some giggling preteen girls went past and Ariel said "Especially this movie, did you read the books." Ariel would never admit to it but she read them. Her sisters had loved them. They were like candy, if you ignored how bad they were in reality it was ok.

"Thanks," Kim replied, taking a seat. She didn't get any popcorn from the front, but she had gotten herself a soda. There wasn't that much room in her stomach left for any type of food after her Mexican fast food stand meal. The point of the soda was to get rid of the lingering taste. That's the last time I eat at that place... she thought, taking another swig of her soda and placing it in the cup holder.
"I was bored, and I heard it was good. My roommate.... well, ex-roommate, was busy. Believe it or not, I really don't know that many people around the school yet. Haven't had as much time to socialize as I'd like with class and cheer practice and all." She glanced up at the girls in front of her. She doubted that she would be able to hear the movie with the loud giggling noises they were making. "He's so cute!" one said. Kim rolled her eyes. She loved cute guys, but this was ridiculous.

Ariel bounced the seat back deliberately hitting a girl giggling behind her. "Ah" she said thinking. "It's hard to imagine a cheerleader not having tons of friends..." she trailed off. She had been thinking aloud. "No offense." She was worried she might have offended her. "I just think of cheerleaders and see packs of girls. Sorry I stereotyped."
She looked at this girl again and thought, a cheerleader who wasn't cheery. How odd. She never thought she'd see the day where a cheerleader wasn't bright and peppy. It was a nice change actually. She quite enjoyed it. "So what do you think of these guys? Are you on Team Edmund or Team Jack?" She personally found Jack attractive but that was due to Edmunds inability to look attractive shirtless. He looked like a diamond covered in dirt. She didn't know how people found him attractive.

Kim laughed at Ariel's stereotyping. "I'm not going to say I don't have friends, I just haven't met many people yet. I'm still rather new to the school, so it may take a while for me to catch up on the social track." At her last school she got along with people rather well, and it was bound to be the same after a while longer. "We aren't all always giggly. School spirit? I have it... a lot of it, but that doesn't give me the excuse to giggle over every little thing. I've always thought of Thespians to be rather talkative too."
Kim considered Ariel's question for a moment. "Well, Jack is hot and all, but I actually find Edmund more attractive. Maybe not physically, of course, but his personality. I guess I like the strong, silent type, you know?" She took another sip of her soda. Several girls swooned when they thought of the guys in the movie shirtless... in fact, that was probably the reason most of them came to see this movie.
