Dory woke up to the sounds of her loud roommate moving in and blathering on with her family. Looking at the clock she saw it was 7 am. What kind of person moves in at 7am? She quickly pulled on her bathrobe over her fishy pajama pants and tank top and slipped outside when they weren't looking, grabbing her flip flops.
She had moved in before everyone. Something about getting her adjusted again. It had been kind of nice to have the school to herself. Now there were tons of people around. She waved at some people she thought she recognized with a big grin on her face.
Looking around she saw that the lawns were fairly empty and her favorite tree was empty of people. This was sometimes an issue because a boy kept sitting in her tree and trying to fly. What a freak.
She climbed up into the tree and closed her eyes. She'd been having nightmares again. Not that she didn't ever not have them. Her head hurt so much, she took it and buried it between her knees. She begun to breathe normally and drift... letting it all go away.

Ahh Yen Sid Acadamy, even though Goliath wouldn't admit it, he missed the place and the Bizarre people that took refuge here. Over the semester break Goliath had found an apartment to live in for when he wasn't in the school dorms. To pay for the apartment, Goliath had gotten at a job at the Italian restraunt Tony's in town. Now he was back in school however, He had come around 6 A.M. and unpacked and then chilled for about an hour. Then out of bordem Goliath decided to go walk around. He put on his black jeans, gray T-shirt and gray sneakers and black leather jacket and headed out the door. As he walked around the campus he decided to head to the lawns since they were almost completly empty. As he got there he saw a familier face from last semester.
Goliath quickly ran up to Dory. He smiled up at her remembering when they had met. They had met during lunch last semester and quickly began friends. Goliath felt bad for her because she had really bad memory issues. Hopefully she remembered him and they were still friends. She was an innocent soul which he loved about her. He found her adorable and just a complete joy to be around and that was saying something because Goliath mostly perfered to keep to himself nowadays. Goliath climbed up to her level and saw that she looked to be asleep. He gently tapped her shoulder gently so he wouldn't startle her and cause her to have one of her memory lapses. He made sure to have a smile on his face so he didn't look mad or scary as well.
"Dory it's time to get up. It's me Garth from last semester remember? I came back to school. I missed ya little buddy. Wakey wakey little fishy."
Goliath just smiled at his sleeping friend. Ever since he lost his family Garth had felt truly alone. That was until he met Dory, she was so innocent it just cheered Garth up a lot. The only other friend he had that did that was his friend Kim Peters. Goliath Considered them his own mini clan. For the first time in a long time, Goliath felt like he was gonna have a good year.

Dory had started to have a nightmare. It was..scary. He was there. Why wouldn't he stop touching her... she scrunched her eyes rolling to the side falling out of the tree screaming. "Get off of me!!" she screamed. Thankfully she was pretty close to the ground and fell to the ground with soft thud.
"Ow..." she said. "Where am I? How did I get outside?" She began to brush herself off and looked around. She knew where she was, kind of, the lawns, and her favorite tree was above her. And there was something in it. "Garth? what are you doing here?" She recognized her big friend and smiled sleepily. Her brain was really fuzzy. "Garth right? Please tell me I remembered right." She looked at her watch and saw that it was almost 8. Why was she out here at 8am... and why was Garth here? She knew she'd forgotten something but she could not figure out what had happened. "Do you know why I'm here?" She really hoped she had her key. The janitor did not like when she locked herself out. He generally got very annoyed, especially because it happened so often. But she couldn't help it.

Goliath's eyes went wide when Dory started flailing around and she then fell out of the low tree. She was having a nightmare. Garth quickly jumped down to meet her and crouched down to her level and began checking her for bumps or cuts that she may have recived during the fall. He felt very protective over little Dory. He thought about what could have caused her to come out to the lawns so early. Little Dory wasn't like him in the respect that he liked to be up super late up until the afternoon. After looking her over for injuries he smiled and nodded when she asked if she remembered his name right.
"Yea you got it right Dory, I'm proud of you for remembering it. Are you okay? Does anything hurt?"
Goliath then sat down next to her and began to think of why she could be outside at such an early hour. After a few minutes of thinking he remembered that a few students were starting to return to campus just like he had so it made him think maybe hers had been loud when coming back. He just smiled over at her with that rare warm friendly smile that he gave only his closest of friends. That was what little Dory was to him. She was the small bright shining innocence in his otherwise dark world. He knew that the reason for her memory issues was a tragic event but sometimes he envied her ability to forget her troubles.
"I am not 100% sure but I think maybe you came out here because the people who were moving in today were to loud for you to be able to sleep so you came out to your favorite tree for some peace and quiet and you ended up falling asleep until I came up and woke you up. Sorry about that by the way, I didn't mean to scare ya."
Goliath knew what it was like to be haunted by memories of the past. They were like ghosts that never moved on but instead hovered over your shoulder for the rest of your days. Goliath really wished he could help Dory but he knew deep down the only way he could help her was be her friend and try to keep her safe even in the smallest ways he could. Starting with breakfast.
"Hey Dory, wanna go get some breakfast? My treat."
