Multitasking at it's best! Marshall Green stood feet shoulder width apart, his brow furrowed as he concentrated on two things: Eating and playing the arcade version of mortal combat. The pixelated versions of the mortal combat characters lit the small bright screen as they kicked and punched at Marshalls command. His right hand never left the red and blue buttons but on occasion his left hand reached for the slice of pizza that was conveniently placed near the joy stick so it wouldn't slip off the slanted table top.
"OH MAN OH MAN." The screen started to flicker and the screen blacked out with only two white words broadcasting GAME OVER. His head sunk to his chest but suddenly the screen changed and in flashing color word NEW HIGH SCORE read across the screen. Immediately he raised his arms in victory. "Hell yeah who da man? I da man!" He nodded in amusement as he looked around to hoping all eyes were on him. Not all of them were on him but just enough. Marshall began to boast and smack talk just like he always did. He wasn't trying to be rude he was simply a loud mouth. When he got excited he couldn't contain himself.
His comments were all said in fun but apparently some boneheaded losers didn't find it humorous. " Ever try actually fighting?" A random beanie cap wearing delinquent spoke up as the group gathered in a circle around Marshall. " Chill bro! No need to get physical." Marshall could feel them closing in on him. Internally all he could think was Oh Shit!

There was no better way to spend an afternoon after a hard cheer practice than nice, steaming hot pizza. Unfortunately, all of the other cheerleaders were either busy, or were going on a diet (which Kim found absurd. Cheer-leading wasn't about being thin, it was about being healthy!), so Kim was eating all alone today. Not that it bothered, her though. Sometimes it was nice to enjoy quiet time. There was so much less drama. Or so she thought. There's no way I'm going to eat all of this... Kim thought, staring at the medium pepperoni pizza in front of her. If it weren't for the free drink that came with it, she would have just gotten the small. But it sure does look good. Kim picked up a steaming slice and, just before she could take a bite. "I da man!""Ever try actually fighting?"Kim turned her head to see a few large boys surrounding a smaller kid near the video games. Bullies. Kim hated bullies. They were all talk, but never had anything to follow through with their threats. Unless it was some poor kid and they had the numbers. Somehow, drama seems to find you, Kim."Hey! Beanie baby! Why don't you and scooter pick on someone your own size," she said, sliding out of the booth and walking over to the games and stepping between the boy and the delinquent boys. "Are you going to let a girl stand up for you?" the boy in the beanie asked. Outfit

Marshall couldn't help but crack up when the girl referred to the boy as beanie baby. "Oh she got you good!" Marshall was impressed with the way the girl handled herself. She seemed confident, this seemed like the normal for her. Marshall on the other hand was a little jumpity. He wouldn't show that though. Marshall always kept his smile and witty comebacks coming.
Oh hell no! Marshall couldn't believe his ears, his biggest pet peeve was sexism. Marshall hated it, it was simply ignorant. Marshall knew plenty of girls that could kick ass, so he wasn't embarrassed by a girl coming to the rescue. But, he of course wasn't going to admit that he needed rescuing. Aside from having guts and being witty Marshall noted that this girl was H-O-T!
"You for real bro? I bet she could knock you down easy." Marshall didn't actually know if this girl could but like always Marshall had a big mouth. " I don't need her help though!" Marshall probably did he was a horrid fighter. He was short and scrawny, and when it came to fighting he only knew what he saw in Jackie Chan films.
"I can stand up for myself but thanks I appreciate it." Marshall said turning to the girl. He hoped things wouldn't get physical he'd hate for her to get hurt on account of him. He always got people into trouble by making the wrong decisions. His loud mouth got him into a mess of trouble.

It was actually rather surprising that the boy didn't stutter when she offered her help. Last time she had stood up for a guy, he was embarrassed. "NO! I don't need a girl's help. Get out of my way, Princess!" Kim was happy to oblige. At least until he started asking for her to dig him out of a football dog pile. Of course, even this boy thought he was able to take care of himself. She considered stepping out of his way, but he was still rather small.
Before her decision could be made, the large boy spoke again. "Did you hear that, doll? He doesn't need your help. And I don't hit girls unless I have to." Kim's red-head temper took over. Did this kid just call her doll?
"Did you just call me doll. As if!" One of the posse boys started to reach for loud-mouth, but Kim pushed his hand out of the way. After that, a punch hit her in the shoulder. Her dark green eyes turned back to the leader. "You so did not just hit me, did you?"
"I told you I would if I had to." Before he finished, he sent another punch at her, but she blocked it. Her foot came up and she kicked him in the stomach. He stumbled backwards a couple steps and looked at her, slightly stunned that she was serious about the fight. The other two boys were surprised, too, but, despite their better judgement, one threw a punch at her anyway. It wasn't a very strong punch, nor was it very fast. Kim had a pretty easy time blocking it, but the boy in the beanie was already coming back towards Marshall.
"I really do hope you know how to fight, kid," Kim said, glancing back at him before punching Beanie-baby in the nose.

Fists were flying, and it was obvious that the red head knew exactly what she was doing. Marshall on the other hand looked like a complete bafoon with his fists tightly squeezed and up around his face. Fighting wasn't his strongest suit but the boy was agile and could move quickly. He wasn't going to do any good punching people but he was going to make it hard for them to punch him.
The dodging worked for the first two or three swings but soon the boys began connecting their punches. Marshall tried his best to fight back but out of the 10 to 15 wild swings he threw only 2 connected. Even with the girl helping he was getting the shit kicked out of him.
Marshall felt like it would never end when the staff came in and broke it up. "Get out of here. " members of the staff screamed as the shoved the group towards the doors. The gang disassembled and took off in opposite directions leaving the red head and Marshall standing outside the entrance alone. "Sorry for getting you into trouble. Thanks for the help. I'm Marshall by the way."

Kim didn't glance back, seeing as her attention was occupied by a sexist prick. Finally, a burly man stepped in the way of the other guys punch and practically picked the boy up by his collar. Her eyebrows lifted, and she lowered her fists. "Well, this is a well-expected ending," she mumbled as the man grabbed her by the arm.
"Ladies shouldn't be starting fights in a family restaurant," he grumbled, leading her towards the door. Close behind them, another man was ushering out the rest of the group. With one last look at the two of them, the boy in the beanie growled at her. "You'd better hope we never meet again, sweetheart," he threatened before turning and running down an alley. Kim picked up a rock and threw it in his direction. It pinged on a garbage can several feet away from him, but it didn't matter. The jerk still picked up his pace.
"Keep running, you pansy!" she yelled after him, slightly embarrassed about getting kicked out of the restaurant. She had never been kicked out before, but, then again, she hadn't ever been in a full on brawl in there before.
Kim pulled the scrunchie out of her hair and brushed it with her fingers. "They'll forget about it by tomorrow. That boy's been kicked out of here before for picking on an eight-year-old. Whether I got in trouble or not, that jerk got what was coming to him." She carefully pulled her hair back into a somewhat neat ponytail and smiled at Marshall. "Marshall, huh? You've got some pretty interesting moves, I have to admit. My name's Kimberly, but most people just call me Kim."

Despite that fact that the crowd had already disbanded the red head continued to harass the boys by screaming and throwing rocks in their direction. A crooked smile spread across Marshall's face as he saw the group of self proclaimed badasses run away from a single girl."Dang Girl I think the place needs to hire you as security. With you around I'm more than certain that them boys ain't ever coming back." Marshall joked.
"Cool, well I don't really have a nickname but a few people call me Mushu so your welcome to call me that if you want Kim."
He wasn't afraid to admit that the girl had some skill but he'd never diss himself so when she mentioned his so called fighting talents he simply smiled and chuckled a bit before responding. "Well ya know I'm more of an element of surprise type of guy. They never know what the hell I'm gonna do so that works out for me."
From the corner of his eye Marshall could see the manager starring at them from behind a window. With his head he pointed in the direction of the manager and said, "I think they want us out of here. I think we might be headed in the same direction. You attend Yensid correct?" Marshall was beginning to recognize her from campus. He was more than certain that he'd seen her walking the halls. He wasn't sure if he had her for any classes but he wouldn't be surprised if he did and didn't know. Marshall had a tendency to sleep through most classes. He was probably on every teachers black list, as he was extremely disruptive. It was on honest miracle that he was passing everything.
