Personality: Emmy is a very fearless girl who believes in justice and equality for all. She does not take well to authority and often times has a habit of speaking her mind. It's because of that that she gets into trouble. But along with her pigheadedness, Emmy can be very sweet as she doesn't take to judging people very quickly. As a matter of fact she prefers to know someone before taking to assumptions of who the person is. But if you stab her in the back you will have the hardest of time trying to win her trust. She works hard to hone her skills in dancing and the performing arts, but also enjoys star gazing.
Where I Began
Mother: Emelie Criada de Lacroix
Father: Mikael de Lacroix
Siblings: Just those in her extended family (close friends who she's known for years)
Other Relatives: None
Pets: Djali, her siamese cat
Friends: Ricard, an old family friend who took Emmy in after the events following her mother's death.
History: Esmeralda was born and raise in a middle class family. Her parents both worked very hard to make sure that Emmy had everything she needed. She wasn't a spoiled child and often didn't take too well to handout's, but she often worked in the street to earn her things. She was a street performer which is where she practiced most with her dancing and for quite a few years it paid off, until her father was laid off and her mother grew ill. Her mother passed away when Esmeralda was just 14 and her father couldn't handle the pressure's of being a single parent and left her to fend for herself. Ricard, a wealthy family friend took Emmy in and transferred her to Yensid academy. Ever since the death of her mother Emmy hasn't been the same. She dances but no longer in public. She avoids people, yet wishes she'd be willing to get to know them as well as wishing she would begin to perform again.

Silently she sat near the window gazing deeply at the beautiful night sky. The multitude of stars fascinated her and, in some ways, brought her to a new world. She believed that the brightest star that shined down on her was her mother's star. Sometimes, when she was all alone, Emmy would often imagine seeing her mother in sky, smiling down at her and saying "I'm proud of you." But her heart could not take the pain of the idea that her mother would not be proud.
Looking around the room, cautiously she sighed deeply before standing up on from the seat by the window, her face curled into a frown. She was yearning to dance. To forget the past and move on. It had been so long since she felt the rush of adrenalin pulsing through her veins, since she felt her bare feet scuff across the ground as she twirled and bounced around. Nothing ever could compare to such a feeling.
Still, she could not bring herself to go back to that life. Nervously, Esmeralda walked out of the room she had just been stargazing in. She wanted to make her mother proud. She wanted to keep her memory alive. Her mother always enjoyed her dancing. She had to try. She had to remember the love she felt when she danced. This was her chance.
