Bella hated being stuck inside everyday for school and today had been one of those days where she looked outside in every class, wishing to be outside running freely rather than cooped up in a stuffy classroom in an old renovated castle. As soon as the last class had ended, she had burst through the doors to her freedom.
Bella had sat on the lawns for a while but had grown bored of watching everyone she had seen all day wander around the school grounds. She decided it was time for her to do some wandering of her own once again. She began walking and came to the forest around the school grounds. She had been in there once or twice before and had enjoyed the unbothered nature. She decided that was what she wanted to do.
Bella started walking through the forest, watching every movement around her and enjoying the sights and sounds. Soon she got tired of walking, feeling as if she was moving to slow. She decided it was time to run. She started out at a jog but quickly was speeding past trees, feet barely touching the forest floor. Bella continued to run, taking steady breaths as her heartbeat raced. Once she began growing a bit tired, she sat down under the shade of a large tree and placed her backpack down beside her.
Bella pulled out a book on mythology and began reading contently as she relaxed under the tree. She was engrossed in a story when she heard rustling behind her. She turned to see who it was but could not see anyone past the giant tree. There was just to much for her to see who it was. Bella stood up and braced herself for whoever or whatever it was. She'd be furious if this was a prank but all she could do was stand and wait for the person or thing to appear.

Peter was avoiding Hatter. Hatter had wanted him to do some theatre thing which involved sewing. He did not like sewing, nor did he care to pretend to like it for Hatters sake. Thus he decided to hide as soon as the last bell rang. He had grabbed gear from his locker and walked off towards the forest. His blue sneakers moved swiftly through the woods his backpack hardly making a sound.
He had packed his large backpack full of prank gear. He had tricked out this bag as much as he could. No matter what was in it one didn't hear things hit each other and it could keep liquids without spilling. It had taken a while to get all these things right.
Peter wasn't sure what prank he was going to pull. He never quite knew till he saw who it was. Just as he thought that he saw Tink sitting there below the tree reading a book. Perfect. Tink was always a fun target. She was always such a fun person. She was one of his best friends no matter how much she annoyed him or was mean to him. For some she fascinated him no matter how weird she was. Peter climbed the tree behind her quickly and quietly and reached into his backpack finding the very real looking rubber snake he had gotten for Christmas from one of the boys at the orphanage. He made sure he was hidden by branches then dropped the snake down onto her head.

Bella was happily reading under the tree when something dropped into her lap. She jumped from the surprise and than realized what it was and instantly frowned. She recognized the snake from a certain red head's ammo and she could guess exactly where he was. She looked up and her suspicions were confirmed. Her friend Peter was up in the tree right over her, watching her.
Bella stood up and threw the snake back at Peter, not caring if she missed or not. "Peter you JERK! I'm gonna get you". Bella jumped and grabbed onto a branch of the tree, making the whole thing shake as she did so. She than swung her body onto the branch and maneuvered her body so she could continue to climb.
Soon she had reached the branch Peter was on. She shook the branch a second and than said, "Say your sorry or I'll make you fall" before sticking her tongue out at her friend and grinning. She was taking a bit too much pleasure in torturing his friend but how else were you supposed to treat a guy like a sibling while hiding a crush. This was the best solution in Bella's mind and so she continued shaking the branch and taunting Peter as she chuckled and watched his reactions. She was glad he had disturbed her reading. Otherwise she would have missed all of this fun. He really was a good friend after all.

Peter backed up putting his back to trunk trying to brace himself as she came after him. He knew there was no point in climbing up. She always caught him. Nonetheless he turned and tried to climbed higher. What was the point in the chase if one did not run? He got as high as he could go without the branches getting weak and looked down. She was right behind him and soon was sitting on the same branch.
He felt the branch strain. This might not end well. It was a sturdy branch, but could it hold both of their weight? That was always the question. He raised an eyebrow at her words. "Apologize? I never apologize. Especially when what I did was no harm and merely some playful fun." He stuck his tongue back out at her. Just in case she planned to keep bouncing he had a plan. It was a cunning plan, and a plan which was his. He didn't understand why she felt this need to tease him. It had always confused him. If she was his friend, say that, if he's not, say that. All of this silliness confused him. Why be mean? Girls were confusing. Maybe it was that cooties disease they had. He was so glad he had a vaccine for it now.
A sudden thought occured to him. Did Bella have cooties? Should he be worried. Maybe she'd get sick right now and just fall down dead. Then he'd have to clap his hands to save her and yell. That's how he was told to cure it. He looked at her worriedly. "Do you have cooties?"

Bella was not in the mood for Peter's pranks, no matter how silly and pointless. She wanted him to apologize. But just as she was about to bug him to apologize again he accused her of having cooties. "PETER BARRIE! You take that back right now. Now stupid are you. Cooties are a disease made up to scare stupid boys so they leave us girls alone. If anything YOU HAVE COOTIES. SO DROP DEAD!"
Just then the branch began to crack and Bella got frightened. The branch was starting to break under them and here she was explaining what cooties were and arguing for pointless reasons with a silly little boy. Despite the fact that Bella was angry enough with him right now to want him to drop dead, she would NOT be blamed for it.
And so, Bella backed up off the branch and reached out her hand. "Peter I promise I won't kill you 'til we reach solid ground but the branch is about to break. Grab my hand unless you want the ground to beat you up for me. I don't care if you think you can fly. YOU CAN'T. HURRY!"
Bella might fight with Peter all the time but they were good friends and she knew how oblivious he could be. If she didn't tell him, he probably would fall to his death. Well at least now she couldn't be blamed if he did. But that would put a damper on her day.

Peter felt the branch cracking underneath them. It was not a good sound. "Well..." Peter began looking around him to see what else was nearby. "You said to drop dead. This tree seems to be taking you up on that offer. I would be dropping dead." He began to back up away from her looking down and then back at her.
"But maybe this will be my chance to prove to you that I can fly." he said smiling then added "But to die would be an awfully big adventure." He put a little bit of pressure on the tree branch and felt it go waving with a smile as he fell. He fell a few feet then grabbed a branch he'd seen and knew would make him not visible and swung himself from one to another till he was on the next tree and out of sight.
