It was another typical day. Warren had spent most of hte day being lectured for setting half of the garden on fire. Though he'd drowned most of Trousseau's finger wagging and veiled threats out, it had made for a serious setback in his schedule. For instance, he'd completely missed lunch, which did not sit well for Warren Nuka.

To vent his frustrations, he figured he would sneak into the chem lab and blow something up. After grabbing an apple from the cafeteria, of course.

Munching on the red fruit, Warren easily picked the lock on the chemistry lab door, easing his way inside before the door had time to creak. The room was almost completely dark, which would make this much easier. Taking another chunk out of his apple, he weaved through the tables to the equipment cabinet. Balancing his snack in his mouth, he gathered a few beakers and a Bunsen burner. He took them back to one of the tables and set everything up before grabbing a few random chemicals from a closet, which he put in the beakers. This little experiment was sure to go out with a bang.

Turning away to grab one more chemical, Warren returned to his experiment and lit his Zippo. As he lowered his face to the fuse of the burner, his realized he wasn't alone in the room. Across from him, their eyes barely illuminated by the flames of their match, another person was trying to light the same burner.

Vitani had been itching to light something on fire. Something other than the edges of he sketchbook and random scraps of paper. She wanted something that would really go up in flames. Yesterday she had "accidentally" left her journal in the chemistry lab, and before lunch had come by to get it back. Professor Hootford had been happy to help, the oblivious man. When she went out of the class, she had put clear tape over the lock, and nobody had noticed.

When lunch started, she waited for everyone to leave the lab, and saw Hootford lock the door. As soon as the coast was clear, Vitani opened the door and gone in, removing the tape and locking the door behind her. Now that she was in, she could get started. Leaving the lights off, she went over to the area where chemicals were stored and found a box with strips of magnesium and a beaker, which she poured some water in. She set her stuff down on a table that already had a bunsen burner, along with flasks of multiple chemicals. Somebody must not have cleaned up after a lab. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a box of matches, and struck one against the rough sandpaper edge. A bright light exploded from the end of the stick and she moved toward the bunsen burner, an excited glint in her eyes.

That was the moment that she noticed the boy on the other side of the lab table, about to light the burner with his zippo lighter. She raised her eyebrow, and dropped the burnt out match from her hand. Before speaking, she pulled out one of her lighters, and flicked it on. "And who are you?" she asked quizzically. Obviously she was in no danger of being ratted out. He must have taken the materials out, and that meant he was up to no good. Why else would he have left the lights off? She glanced at the door and realized he must have picked the lock, and then her blue eyes turned back, reflecting the light of the flickering flames

Warren's momentary surprise was quickly swept over by his usual suspicion. In the dim light, he could tell that his unwelcome visitor was a girl. And that she was trying to light his experiment. He immediately disliked her. Then again, he pretty much disliked everyone. He loomed over the intruder, sizing her up as much as he could by the flickering light of their lighters.

"I could ask you the same question," he said, the hint of a growl in his voice. That was normal for him. Getting pissy with someone he didn't even know.

Not taking his eye off the girl, he flicked his Zippo shut and backed toward the door. He flicked the switch up, and the lab was instantly flooded by the overhead fluorescent plasma lights. Warren narrowed his eyes against the onslaught of light and more thoroughly examined the girl. She was shorter than him, though not quite as short as she seemed by lighter-light. Her shock of hair was a pale blonde, much too pale to be natural. Her makeup was heavy, especially around the eyes. She was pretty. She could even be defined as hot.

That didn't interfere with the fact that she was trying to light his burner.

He stalked back toward her, prowling around the table and her like a starving lion. "Pretty little thing like you shouldn't be playing with chemicals." He stepped right behind her. He could've rested his chin on top of her head if he wanted to, but that would've defied his personal space. "You might get burned."

Vitani narrowed her eyes when the boy spoke. The growl in his voice was thinly veiled, and she kept her fiery blue eyes locked on the boy as he backed toward the door. When the lights flipped on, she squinted for a moment as her eyes adjusted to the brightness. Now that she could see him in the light, she saw that he was taller than herself, with dark messy hair. He looked pissed, which kind of annoyed her. She was here first. She stood still in the same spot as he looked her over, one brow raised in defiance. This boy had an aggressive air to him, like he was holding back from just trying to kill everybody, but she wasn't about to take any shit from him. She watched as he circled her, his eyes hungry like an animals, and he ended up behind her. She could feel his breath on her neck. The next thing he said simply made her let out a short laugh. "Trust me," She said, her voice quiet but clear and strong, and turned to face him. There were only inches between their faces. "I'm not afraid of a little fire." She then she placed her hands on his chest and firmly pushed him away from her, not too hard, but enough to make some space between them. "Now what's your name?" She asked impatiently.

Feeling the girl's hands on his chest made Warren tense up. He hated being touched. Each point where her fingertips made contact felt like fiery ice on his skin, even through his shirt. He took a few steps back, still examining her with the same predatory hunger. She was feisty; he liked that. He could also tell by her body language and tone that she was no pushover. Another trait in her favor. One of those rare smirks played at Warren's features.

"If you must know," he said, shoving his hands in his pockets in feigned laziness. He was actually constantly on the alert--to her actions, and the door should a teacher walk in and mistake blowing things up for something more inappropriate, "my name is Warren. I'm a senior. And that," he added, nodding towards the currently abandoned experiment, "is my stuff."

He continued to stare at the girl, his cold eyes betraying no emotion. He was a man of few words, which typically made for long awkward silence. This silence, however, crackled with the tension of two strong wills refusing to bow to each other.

"Now, common courtesy dictates that you should tell me your name,"he said, the smirk returning to his lips.

Vitani kept her eyes trained on the boy as he stepped back. It wasn't hard to figure out that he did not like to be touched. As he looked her over again, she leaned back casually against the lab table, arms across her chest. She watched the smirk spread across his lips. After his introduction, she raised her eyebrows. Warren. The name fit his appearance. "Well, Warren the senior, I hate to break it to you, but that is technically the schools stuff. And also, I got some of that out. The magnesium is mine." She looked at the lab materials for a moment, and saw that they seemed to be random chemicals in beakers, before turning back to Warren. "Do you even know what your doing with all that?" She asked.

Her eyes flashed to to door when she thought she heard someone coming in, but it was only somebody passing by. It would be bad to be caught like this, with random chemicals and a bunsen burner, even though she had only gotten out the magnesium and water. She looked back at Warren, eyes more intense than ever.

"Since you asked so nicely," she said sarcastically. "I'm Vitani. Also a senior," Her cold expression morphed into a return smirk. "And, not that this isn't fun or anything, but I'd really like to do what I came here for and blow something up."

Warren sneered at the not-so-clever title she had given him, eying the ingredients that lay before them. Indeed, a test tube filled with magnesium sat amongst the jumble of ingredients he had selected. Unfortunately for both of them, amongst his vials and beakers, the combination of which would have simply created a small lab fire and resulted in potentially singed eyebrows, was a beaker of water which sat right next to the magnesium. It was inconspicuous, a clear liquid among other clear liquids, but the fire created by igniting the magnesium, if combined with water, would cause an explosion neither of them could ever contain.

Well, I did before you added your little A-bomb, he thought bitterly.

He brushed past the little vixen to to array of materials on the table. His hands ghosted over the shining bottles of tantalizing toxins. A combination of any of them could create a lovely explosion or complete temporary paralysis. Others would straight poison and kill you within seconds without even having to be mixed with a separate compound.

Warren picked up the vial of water and picked it up, swishing it around with small, circular motions.

"Well, Ms. Vitani, had you mixed this with your precious magnesium, you probably would've ended up blowing yourself up. So allow me to put out that little fire of yours." With that, he threw the vial of water into her face.

Vitanis eyes shone bright blue as they stayed locked on Warren. His face was bitter as he looked over the table of lab equipment. Her eyes moved to his hands as he picked up the water and swirled it around and spoke. Of coarse Vitani knew what would happen if you combined the two seemingly innocent substances. She wasn't stupid. In fact, her father had died from a magnesium fire when she was young. She knew how to use a very small amount of both, and somewhat contain the explosion. She had done so before. The worst injury she had received from magnesium was a small burn on her hand and a few cuts from glass. Unfortunately, before she could respond with any of this, she had to squint her eyes to stop water from getting into them. It was a good thing her makeup was waterproof, or she would look like a mess at this point.

Her eyes opened quickly, fiery anger clearly shining in her expression. Immediately, her fist was flying for his abdomen, right where it would knock the wind out of him. She was surprisingly strong for a girl her size, and years of taking care of herself had taught her a lot. She felt her fist make contact with his stomach, and she saw him double over in a reaction that almost anyone would have when the wind was knocked out of them. "Oh, and by the way," she said, giving him hardly a second to recover and catch his breath, before taking his face and planting a long kiss on his lips. She pulled away, fiery eyes staring straight at his. "Nobody can put out my fire." she stood back a bit as he recovered completely, waiting for his reaction.

Warren couldn't help but throw his head back, close his eyes, and laugh as the water hit Vitani square in the face. It was a pity that her makeup wasn't running down her face in messy streams, but her hair was drenched and the look on her face was priceless.

Warren finally gained his composure and opened his eyes - at the exact wrong moment. He had just enough time for his eyes to widen in shock as the petite girl's fist connected with his solar plexus. The air exploded from his lungs and a sharp pain spread rapidly throughout his abdomen. His body instinctively doubled over to contain the splitting pain, and he gasped for breath. He looked up, his eyes watering and his sides heaving. Damn, this girl had spunk.

As he was straightening up, he was surprised once again when the girl grabbed his face and kissed it. God, did she taste divine. When she backed away, he straightened up fully, his expression still full of bewilderment. His fingers touched his lips, which were still tingling lightly.

Before he knew what was happening, he shoved her back against the lab table that held their mixture of chemicals and tools and kissed her. His hands tangled in her hair, his fingers gripping it tightly and holding her face to his. And he was enjoying every damn second of it.

Hal was walking down one of his favorite halls, the science hall, when he heard noises coming from the lab. He had hoped to go in there and snatch some chemicals for his own uses but if a faculty member was there, he would have to think on his toes quick and be ready to bolt at a moments notice. He looked in through the glass pane in the door and his face instantly turned a very bright shade of red as smoke seemed to come out of his ears.

Hal stormed into the room just as the two "love birds" pulled back from a steamy kiss. Hal walked up to Warren and screaming as he covered the length from the door to the boy. How dare you kiss my girl. What the hell were you doing. Did you seriously think you would get away with this. I know EVERYTHING!!!! Everything do you hear?! Hal than grabbed onto Warren's shirt and pulled him up close until there was an inch or so between their faces. You go near her again and I will kill you. We clear?! Hal than flung the boy across the room, in the direction of a hard wood lab table. He heard a thud and smiled with satisfaction.

Hal than turned to Vitani, fighting back tears and hiding them with his anger. His body was rigid and his psychopathic smile was written clear across his face. Hal ran his nails along Vitani's cheek as he spoke. My fireball. I thought we had something special... an arrangement of sorts. I guess I was wrong. I defended you against that soulless singing freak but maybe she was right. Maybe you are a whore and whores don't get free relationships. So are you a whore or are you a sexy beast? Prove it! But don't you dare lie to me again, Hal's nails dragged across her cheek leaving small scratches in their wake, or you'll regret it. He than pulled her in for a kiss, sloppy and fuled by rage and lust. Think next time baby. I don't give many chances.

With that Hal turned to leave, feeling a bit better and the red tone slowly beginning to run from his face. He was loosening up and he grasped for the goodies in his pocket, planning full well to light up as soon as he got outside or to his room. He would be much better than. He was at the doorframe, ready to leave when he heard a noise behind him and his pupils narrowed, prepared to fight it out if it came to what he sensed it very easily might.

Warren pulled away from Vitani after hearing the door creak open, expecting to have to explain himself to a teacher and instead finding himself looking at another student. His eyes narrowed--he wasn't scared of other students, and this one seemed to be a drama queen with all of his screaming. When the male grabbed Warren's shirt and dragged him so close he could smell the other student's raunchy breath, he realized he was shorter than this guy. Now that was slightly intimidating. But the threats only made Warren smirk. His habit of doing the exact opposite of what he was told would most certainly come in handy when dealing with this idiot.

Warren found himself suddenly being flung away, his sneakers skidding against the ground until he found himself come to an abrupt halt against a wooden table, his spine hitting the edge and sending bullets of pain throughout his entire body. Just who the hell did this guy think he was, the unofficial headmaster of the student population? No one dared mess with Warren, lest they wanted to wake up with singed eyebrows--or no eyebrows, depending on how much they pissed him off.

Warren forced himself to get up, wincing at the pain in his back. He watched the other student speak to Vitani, and his mannerisms and words made it seem like she was some possession of his that he had recently discovered was flawed. And the way he spoke was just eerie. His tone was hushed, but like the calm before the storm, it sounded like he was going to break any moment and go crazy on both of them.

He stood awkwardly, hunched slightly to ease the pain in his back, listening to this pompous prick taunt Vitani. Even Warren wouldn't go as far as to say things like that. When the male kissed Vitani like some cheap hooker before a one night stand, Warren dug his nails into the wooden table, seething with thinly veiled anger. The straw had finally broken him.

As the other student made his way to the door, Warren rolled up the sleeves of his jacket and followed him, waiting for the student to turn around before cold-cocking him in the face.

"Don't you ever talk to her like that again," he hissed.

Vitani watched as the boy recovered from her punch/kiss combo. She saw him touch his lips, obviously in slight shock, before doing something that actually surprised her. Suddenly, she was pushed against the table behind her and she was receiving a passionate kiss from the boy she just punched. She returned the kiss, lips pressed against his, her arms wrapping around him and holding him closer, if that was even possible. Suddenly, she heard the door click open and Warrens lips pulled away, ending one of the best kisses she had ever received.

Before she could even look to see who it was, he knew it was Hal. His screaming voice could probably be heard through the whole school. Vitani watched as Hal threatened Warren, throwing him across the room. She crossed her arms as Hal turned to face her. She could see he was holding back tears behind his crazed expression. She opened her mouth to object to Hals words, but was interrupted by a sloppy, unwanted kiss. If there was one thing Vitani would not take sitting down, it was somebody who treated her like a possession. She was not an object for a guy to play with whenever he wanted. She was completely independent from everyone and had been so for a long time. When he pulled away and began walking toward the door, she had to take a moment to control herself, and before she was fully recovered, Warren stepped forward to defend her.

Vitani was absolutely pissed, and that is something that nobody would want. She wasn't one to hurt somebody without reason, but Hal had just given her more than one. She walked over to where he and Warren stood and pushed Hal back. "What the hell, Hal? If anybody in this room is a whore, it's YOU. You don't f***ing own me. Nobody does." She stopped for a moment to control herself again. Man did she want to kick his ass right now. But she though of something that might hurt him more.

She looked at Hal with a small smile. "Hal, I will think next time, I promise." She started, feigned regret lining her voice. After a pause she spoke again, this time with a smirk painted clearly across her face. "I'll think about how the one kiss Warren just gave me was ten times better than all of the ones you gave me combined. Especially that last one." She said this calmly, but with anger behind her words. Her blue eyes were blazing with fiery defiance as she waited for her words to sink in.

Hal turned to face the two others and was met with a punch to the face. He paused long enough for his vision to settle and than began growling, about to attack the boy once more, when he was met by Vitani's harsh words. Hal was so out of sorts that he wasn't sure what to do. So Hal did the one thing he knew to do- threw some furniture across the room and balled his hands into fists, ready to fight.

Hal knew he needed to calm down and stay in control. This was his game and he wouldn't let some punks try to control his circus. And so with a deep breath and a quick brush of his hair, he had calmed down a bit, telling himself "I'm cool. I'm cool" as he did so. Hal than turned his attention back to Vitani and Warren and spoke in a calm and relatively even voice. Tani, baby, I apologize for overreacting. I'm just anxious to go get my fix. You know how it is. I'll leave you and lover boy here to your business and maybe we can talk it out later. If not, I guess you'll just have to go somewhere else for your goodies from now on. Good luck with that. See you later babe." He turned to Warren before leaving just as quickly as he had come. "And lover boy, work on that punch. It's a bit... weak. Have fun!"

With that, Hal snatched up a few chemicals and bolted from the room, storming down the hall and clearing it as he went. Anyone could tell he was beyond angry and anyone who knew any better would get out of his path. Hal was on a rampage and anyone who stopped him would get hurt whether he meant to or not.
